Role Summary
  • Responsible for executing the market access strategy and leading interactions with payers and key stakeholders to achieve and maintain reimbursement & patient access for AZ OBU Portfolio in KSA key accounts, managing access strategic projects across GCC.
  • Based in Saudi Arabia.
  • Reports directly to the GCC OBU Market Access Head.
What You’ll Do

Develop and execute brand strategies to achieve early access goals for new and existing launches.

  • Establish market access strategies, objectives, and tactical plans aligned with brand strategies.
  • Develop and implement formulary listing processes and brand expansion plans through effective communication with relevant teams.
  • Understand stakeholder priorities, identify partnership opportunities, and provide solutions and recommendations.
  • Monitor environmental shifts, trends, and behaviors, and suggest appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement short-term tactics and long-term strategies for portfolio lifecycle management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with government and private organizations to communicate AstraZeneca’s product positioning.
  • Develop pre-launch market access strategies and pricing strategies to optimize product positioning.
  • Engage with stakeholders to remove access barriers and deliver value-based discussions.
  • Generate payer-relevant evidence through clinical trials, health economics modeling, RWE studies, literature research, and meta-analyses.
  • Build localized value arguments supported by evidence.
  • Create innovative projects to support customer needs and foster partnerships.
Stakeholders’ Management
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans in alignment with leadership.
  • Report on tactical plan implementation.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
Pricing Responsibilities
  • Work with the team on developing pricing and reimbursement strategies to maximize product value.
  • Assess competitive landscape and market access environment.
  • Develop innovative pricing schemes and managed entry agreements.
  • Collaborate on developing pricing strategies and minimum prices to enhance market success.
Passion for Customer
  • Maintain close contact with key stakeholders influencing access decisions in hospitals and institutions.
Collaborating and Influencing Others
  • Work collaboratively across functions, acting as a resource and leveraging expertise.
  • Serve as a liaison to influence and motivate stakeholders through collaboration.

  • Uphold high ethical standards and adhere to AstraZeneca’s code of ethics and local laws.
  • Report safety, environmental, and conflict of interest issues promptly.
Essential for the Role
  • Saudi nationality preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of success in pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
  • Experience in patient access, market access, or key account management.
  • Experience in the Saudi market.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
Desirable for the Role
  • Strong commercial background.
  • Experience in GCC markets and oncology portfolio.
  • People management experience.
  • Background in health economics or pharmacoeconomics.
