The Financial Institutions team

Our financial institutions team builds trusted relationships with our banking partners across the globe to get the best rates, so we can help local businesses maximize their revenue. As a Tapster you will:
- Build partnerships with acquirers, banks, schemes and alternative payment methods
- Be in charge of setting up the company’s network of Bank accounts and procure the required value added services from partner Financial institutions
- Manage FI partner selection process
- Build relationships with Banks and Financial Institutions to ensure that the organization has a good infrastructure and network of FI partners
- Maintain and grow relationships with partner Financial Institutions
- Build relationships with Local Payment Methods such as mada, Benefit & Meeza as well as International schemes Visa and Mastercard
- Have end-to-end responsibility of payment methods: Act as the single point-of-contact for a selection of local payment methods, alternative payment methods and international schemes, taking full ownership internally as well as externally.
- Work with cross-functional colleagues across the company as well as partners to achieve all aspects of the product. Including analysing and addressing operational issues
- Grow relationships with existing and potential FI Partners, Schemes and Banks to ensure that Tap covers all major payment methods
- Get the best commercial offers that are most effective and guide the Sales team on their usage
- Collaborate with Compliance on banking partners KYC and AML documentation
- Understand payment methods domestically
- Work closely with the product team to establish processing capabilities along with other banking products to Tap’s FI strategy
- Carry out other duties, as assigned based on the demands of the business and growth of the role.
What you will bring to the party:
- 4-6 years of role-specific experience and have begun to master your craft
- Well-versed in PayTech
- Preferred degree, but real-world experience is also accepted
- Demonstrates a high level of client/merchant/stakeholder service
- Awareness of when to escalate issues or service concerns
- Resilient and flexible, learning from experience
- Leadership skills and ability to work without supervision
- Shares knowledge and expertise openly
- Hands-on approach and team leader qualities
- Ensures quality work and innovation focus
- Effective communication with team and clients in English, with a preference for Arabic language ability
- Saudi national is a mandatory requirement for this role
