The successful candidate will actively engage in evaluating valve designs, conduct extensive analyses, and collaborate across teams to enhance product performance. Candidates should have significant experience with industry standards and FEA software tools. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in FEA of pressure-containing equipment, focusing on valves.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.
  • Experience with transient thermal-structural analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nonlinear and linear FEA on valve bodies, bonnets, seals, and pressure-retaining parts.
  • Conduct stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis to evaluate product performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development and validation.

Skills

FEA of pressure-containing equipment
Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 2 Part 5
Proficient in ANSYS or equivalent FEA software
Experience with industry standards (API 6A, API 6D, ASME B16.34)
Good understanding of material behavior
Strong report writing and communication skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • PerformnonlinearandlinearFEAonvalvebodies,bonnets,seals,seats,andpressure-retainingpartsusingtoolssuchasANSYS/SolidWorksSimulation.
  • Interpret and applyASME Section VIII, Div. 1 G 2, API 6A, API 6D, and relatedindustry standards for pressure equipment design and analysis.
  • Conductstress,fatigue,andthermalanalysistoevaluateproductperformanceundervariousloadingconditionsincludinginternalpressure, thermal gradients,mechanical loads, and transient scenarios.
  • ValidatevalvedesignsusingFEAsimulationinsupportofRCDandcustomerqualification programs.
  • CreateanddocumentdetailedFEAreportsincludingboundaryconditions,meshing strategy,materialmodels,andinterpretationofresults.
  • Workcloselywithdesignengineerstoimproveproductperformance,reduceweight,and ensure code compliance.
  • SupportfailureinvestigationsandprovideengineeringinsightbasedonFEAresults.
  • Collaboratewithcross-functionalteamssuchasmanufacturing,quality,andtestingduring product development and validation.
  • Maintainup-to-dateknowledgeofrelevantcodes,standards,andsoftwaretools.
