About the Role: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6-7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, with a strong focus on transformers, switchgear, and high voltage facilities. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of transformers, switchgear, and other high voltage equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and programs to extend the life of electrical assets.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within broader facility operations.
  • Review and revise electrical maintenance procedures and safety protocols to comply with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance data.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of electrical projects, including upgrades, installations, and retrofits related to high voltage systems.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 6-7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, specifically with transformers, switchgear, and high voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with power distribution systems and electrical equipment upgrades.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, NETA, etc.) are an advantage
