Job description

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Team Leader to join our manufacturing operations. This role will lead the fabrication team, oversee CNC machine programming and operations, and ensure targets for quality, productivity, and cost optimization are achieved. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong background in CNC punching and bending operations and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program CNC sheet metal punching and bending machines.
• Operate and lead the fabrication team for CNC sheet metal punching and bending machines.
• Operate and lead the fabrication team for CNC/normal busbar punching and bending machines.
• Achieve OEE targets while minimizing scrap.
• Ensure operators understand standard work and performance expectations.
• Perform daily machine maintenance.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department on monthly and preventive maintenance.
• Manage the fabrication plan to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Coordinate across fabrication sub-processes to adhere to the production plan.
• Provide training and skill development for the fabrication team.
• Ensure 5S auditing schedules are implemented with checklists and timely rectification of 5S audit findings.
• Ensure all safety requirements are implemented in line with process standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience of 8+ years in CNC sheet metal and copper punching and bending machines.
• Solid background in electrical equipment manufacturing, preferably in MV/LV switchgear production.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, 5S, and safety compliance in manufacturing operations.
• Excellent leadership, training, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage cost, productivity, and performance targets effectively.
