Job Title: Export Control and Programme Security Manager

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in a safe training environment on their aircraft, equipment, and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia aims to support the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capabilities through local partner companies, reinforcing industrialization and partnerships.

The main objective of this role is to understand, apply, and implement Export Control Compliance obligations at the business level, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and applicable laws. The role involves managing challenges and delivering solutions, representing the Head of Export Control & Programme Security, KSA in collaboration with the KSA Programme.

Job Accountabilities

1. Develop and communicate an effective Export Control Compliance framework across the business and industrial partners.
2. Coordinate Programme Security Compliance across the business and with industrial partners per regulatory requirements.
3. Own the Export Control Regulatory requirements and develop relevant control measures, including mandatory requirements and reporting.
4. Provide expertise in audits and assurance processes, ensuring controls are applied across all sites, projects, functions, and partners.
5. Manage external audits from BAE Systems Group, UK, and foreign governments.
6. Lead Export Control investigations from initiation to resolution, following group compliance procedures.
7. Implement lessons learned from investigations, develop business actions, and report on these activities.
8. Support the Head of Export Control & Programme Security, including delivering Export Control training and maintaining compliance records.
9. Conduct site visits across KSA to provide SME support.
10. Represent the Head of Export Control & Programme Security when required.

Recruitment Specification

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of Export Control procedures and legislation, recognized as a SME in Export Control activities. Expertise should include application of regulations such as the U.S. ITAR, EAR, UK Export Control laws, and EU Dual Use regulations.
