Job description

We are seeking an experienced Exploration Geophysicist to support geological and mining exploration projects. The role involves conducting advanced geophysical surveys using seismic, magnetic, gravity, and resistivity methods, along with data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of subsurface modelling and Earth processes to support mineral exploration and drilling planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

· Plan and execute geophysical data acquisition in line with project scope, specifications, and timelines.

· Conduct geophysical surveys (seismic, magnetic, gravity, etc.) to analyse and map subsurface geological structures.

· Support survey planning and assist in project mobilization activities.

· Operate geophysical sensors and digital logging systems to ensure accurate and efficient survey execution.

· Interpret geophysical data using appropriate software and techniques to generate high-quality geological models.

· Perform quality control (QC) checks on all collected data, charts, and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Ensure compliance with industry best practices and maintain high standards of data integrity.

· Apply knowledge of Earth sciences to support effective mine modeling and subsurface analysis.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, or a related field.

· Proficiency with geophysical software (e.g., Oasis Montaj, Res2DInv) and data processing tools. instruments and data processing tools..

· Strong technical background in geophysical survey techniques, mapping, and subsurface modelling within the mining industry.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
