Job description

Supports the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) team by:

  • Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
  • Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, Mobile Integrated Defense system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally and with the team in the UK.
  • Evaluating performance of Mobile Integrated Defense systems, data handling, and communication equipment.
  • Monitoring the Built-In Test equipment software, analyzing results, and recommending improvements.
  • Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) as required.
  • Performing diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure operational readiness.
  • Diagnosing and isolating complex electronic problems between hardware, software, and LRUs using various fault isolation procedures.
  • Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and traveling to remote sites for software maintenance, troubleshooting, and OJT.
  • Communicating with Contractor Experts in Europe to resolve malfunctions when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Weapon Technology.
  • Specialized training and certification in weapon systems and related equipment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French & Arabic is advantageous; excellent communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years in operation and maintenance of weapon and communication systems, including installation, testing, integration, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Experience with weapon system LRUs and associated equipment such as Safety Management Units, Power Distribution Modules, Ethernet switches, Control Electronics Units, Power Conditioning Units, System Command and Control Units, and FHCs.
  • Knowledge of weapon system subsystems including Stabilized Sight Head, Turret, Panniers, Automatic Missile Interface Unit, and power systems.
  • Experience working in complex, multicultural, multidisciplinary environments with customer interactions.
  • Understanding of broader contractor support services.
