Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for leading the pizza kitchen staff.
  2. Oversee the entire pizza-making process, including preparing the pizza dough from A to Z with the required consistency and in sufficient quantities exactly as per the set franchise recipe along with all other pizza ingredients (e.g. slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers' orders considering special requests).
  3. Responsible for keeping the work areas clean and tidy, in accordance with all applicable local food safety and hygiene standards, carrying out routine maintenance of the pizza oven and any kitchen utensils and equipment (e.g. slicers for cured meats).
  4. Develop new menu items.
  5. Must be able to lead the team to perform effectively and professionally under stressful conditions and should be comfortable working in front of customers, especially locals (e.g. the work/oven area might be visible to the rest of the restaurant).
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 5-7 years executive chef experience working with various international pizzeria chains and in preparing the above.
  2. Local experience and knowledge for sourcing of key pizza ingredients & kitchen supplies is a plus.
  3. Knowledge of ingredients, recipes, and the pizza-making process.
  4. Experienced in the use of various pizza ovens.
  5. Pasta prep experience required.
  6. Knowledge of the English language is required, with Arabic being a plus.
  7. Reliability, professionalism, and speed with organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills. Team working spirit a must.
  8. Ability to work under pressure in a hectic work environment and flexibility and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and evenings.
  9. Candidate based in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
