Overview
Head Chef - Japanese Cuisine. A Head Cook position has arisen with our client in Saudi Arabia for an upscale Japanese dining establishment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Group Executive Head Cook in producing new menu items and new dishes as required.
- Ensure that all food satisfies the finest standards and is prepared on time.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team and assist them as required.
- Train the group to prepare and cook the food according to the dishes.
- Stocktaking of active ingredients and equipment and placing orders as needed.
- Implement and apply all HACCP standards.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff, offering constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Ensure all dishes are maintained and upgraded and accurately priced.
- Able to execute recipes provided by the Group Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in an upscale/high-end Japanese dining establishment.
- Solid management and people administration.
- Enthusiasm for creating incredible food that thrills and attracts clients.
- Creative and cutting-edge approach.
- Hands-on technique across all operational facets.
- Superb communication skills and computer proficiency.
- Excellent culinary technical skills.
- Ability to prosper in a fast-paced working setting.
