Position Summary:

Rixos Properties is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Executive Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage (EAM - F&B) to oversee the operations of our Food & Beverage department. As part of the Executive Committee, the EAM will assist in managing all aspects of F&B operations, ensuring that the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction are met. This leadership role will require excellent managerial skills, a deep understanding of F&B operations, and the ability to drive innovation and sustainability in the department. The EAM - F&B will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with other senior leaders to achieve organizational goals and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • F&B Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banquet services. Ensure seamless coordination between all F&B areas, maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and motivate the F&B team, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to department heads, supervisors, and team members to ensure operational excellence.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Assist in preparing and managing the F&B budget, controlling costs, optimizing profitability, and ensuring financial targets are met. Monitor inventory, pricing, and vendor contracts to reduce waste and ensure profitability.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all F&B services are delivered in line with guest expectations and Rixos Properties' standards. Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Menu Development & Innovation: Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop innovative and exciting menu offerings. Introduce seasonal menus, promotions, and new concepts that align with market trends and guest preferences.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations and Rixos Properties' operational policies. Conduct regular audits of F&B operations to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in all F&B operations by evaluating service standards, operational procedures, and efficiency. Implement systems to enhance guest experience and streamline processes.
  • Training & Development: Work with the People & Culture Department to ensure that F&B team members are regularly trained on service excellence, product knowledge, and safety standards. Encourage a culture of learning and development within the department.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping, Engineering, and Sales, to ensure effective communication and a unified approach to operations. Assist in developing strategies to improve overall hotel performance.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present reports to the General Manager and Executive Committee, detailing F&B performance, financial results, and progress on departmental goals. Use data to make informed decisions and continuously enhance operations.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Work with the Marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to increase F&B revenue. Participate in creating marketing materials, events, and other initiatives to attract guests and enhance the brand's F&B offerings.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability within the F&B operations, focusing on waste reduction, eco-friendly sourcing, and energy-efficient practices. Ensure that Rixos Properties' sustainability goals are met in all food and beverage operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in F&B management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B operations, including restaurant management, banquet services, and in-room dining.
  • Proven track record of driving operational performance, financial results, and guest satisfaction in the F&B sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with team members, guests, and senior management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Expertise in food safety, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development, service design, and marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and handle pressure effectively.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices within F&B operations, including waste management, sustainable sourcing, and energy conservation.
