Job Purpose
The Event Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of events, including coordination, workflow development, quality control, and ensuring successful delivery. They are accountable for managing events within deadlines and budgets, coordinating activities for event days, and guiding relevant team members, clients, and vendors to achieve project objectives. The Zone Manager should also strengthen client relations, enhance the organization's image, and meet event goals.
Key Accountability Activities
- Event Planning
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, logistics, and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align event objectives with client goals.
Budget Management- Manage budgets, track expenses, and reconcile accounts to stay within financial limits.
- Analyze expenditures and adjust plans as needed.
Visitor Experience- Design and implement engaging visitor experiences.
- Coordinate with creative teams to ensure the event atmosphere matches the intended experience.
Content & Program- Develop compelling content and agendas, focusing on audience engagement and theme relevance.
- Coordinate with speakers and performers to ensure a cohesive program.
Layout & Creative Design- Oversee event layouts for functionality and aesthetics.
- Guide creative design elements to boost visual impact.
Fabrication & Installation- Manage fabrication timelines and vendor coordination.
- Supervise installation processes, maintaining quality standards.
Logistics & Technical Requirements- Plan logistics including transportation, equipment, and venue needs.
- Coordinate technical aspects like AV, lighting, and other setups.
Facilities & Crowd Management- Plan facilities, seating, amenities, and safety measures.
- Develop crowd control strategies and oversee usher teams.
Client Management & Protocols- Build strong client relationships and understand their needs.
- Work with protocols teams to ensure seamless procedures.
Catering & Guest Management- Assess catering options per client preferences.
- Coordinate VIP guest services to ensure a positive experience.
Requirements
- Education & Certification: A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years in events or related roles.
- Other Skills: Strong organizational, multitasking, project management, interpersonal, communication, creativity, attention to detail, proficiency in event management software, problem-solving, and adaptability.
