Environmental Technician

Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Environmental Technician whose primary responsibility is to assist the regional environmental field services department in environmental testing and reporting at project sites.

Responsibilities

1. Assist and learn all aspects of work the environmental department carries out, including stack emissions monitoring, ambient air quality monitoring, soil and groundwater monitoring, and noise monitoring.
2. A willingness to embrace new skills in the above areas and apply them practically is considered a prerequisite.
3. Assist with planning and execution of projects.
4. Assist with report preparation.
5. Help with maintenance and calibration of environmental department equipment.
6. Support maintenance of Health and Safety and Quality standards within a UKAS accredited 17025 quality management system.

Skills / Qualifications

• Science Graduate or higher qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle challenging working conditions, including climbing stacks and handling heavy industrial equipment.
• A strong focus on quality and determination to complete tasks under challenging conditions.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and apply them practically.
