Job Purpose:

To ensure environmental compliance with local and national regulations, particularly the requirements of the Operation Environmental Management Plan (OEMP), and to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental performance across all airport operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure all airport personnel adhere to applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
• Develop/Monitor/maintain/update Environmental Management Plan ensuring full compliance.
• Conduct environmental assessments associated with engineering and airport operations and set mitigations.
• Manage airport environmental permits ensuring timely renewals and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Communicate with stakeholders including tenants, community, and regulatory agencies.
• Perform routine environmental monitoring to validate the effectiveness of adopted practices.
• Promoting/implementing sustainability initiatives (Green practices, renewable energy, waste management).
• Collect/Maintain/analyze records related to environmental performance and report on progress.
• Provide training to airport staff and contractors on environmental policies and procedures.
• Manage/monitor all airport utilities to ensure environmental compliance in coordination with contractors.
• Review environmental plans and ensure compliance by contractors working within the airport.
• Oversee greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, water/energy management, noise management, air quality, and track/record all related data.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

Language: English & Arabic.

Computer Skills: MS Office, Outlook, Familiarity with OEMP frameworks.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management.
