Job Summary
The Environmental Manager oversees processes aimed at controlling environmental factors in accordance with organizational plans or ideas. This position involves reviewing the entire operation, conducting environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental issues, and ensuring the implementation of necessary changes.
Job Responsibilities 1
Manage and oversee the organization’s environmental performance, including developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental strategies that promote sustainable development.
Stay updated on international developments to incorporate best environmental practices.
Provide expertise in the administration and support of environmental programs.
Develop systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Manage the implementation of environmental policies and practices.
Implement policies, procedures, and norms as per organizational standards.
Monitor organizational practices related to environmental sustainability across all projects.
Job Responsibilities 2
Generate and maintain reports, records, and documentation.
Monitor and regulate the company’s compliance with organizational guidelines and applicable international and local standards.
Develop and execute environmental strategies and action plans to ensure sustainable corporate development.
Manage the development and implementation of strategies aligned with the organization’s long-term sustainability goals.
Ensure adoption of best environmental practices to improve organizational systems effectively.
Lead sustainable procurement initiatives for goods and services.
Incorporate environmental considerations into organizational practices to enhance positive environmental impacts.
Additional Responsibilities 3
Job Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; excellent communication skills in English.
Knowledge of environmental compliance, procedures, statutory requirements, and Qatar regulations.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards.
Understanding of ecosystems and biodiversity interactions.
Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and standards.
Technical expertise in environmental issues and scientific principles related to environmental control.
Certifications
NEBOSH Environmental Certification.
ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, including 5 years in a similar role; GCC experience is a plus.
Core Competencies

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Professional Lead Auditor Course in ISO 14001 or GSAS Certification.
