Job description

Environmental Engineer – Air Quality Department Lead

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in air quality engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in air modeling software and GIS tools.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Air Quality Department, overseeing engineers, scientists, and technical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with air quality regulations, overseeing permitting, emissions modeling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Develop emission reduction strategies and oversee their implementation.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, monitoring authorities, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with agencies such as NCEC, Saudi Aramco, RCJY, and KACST.
  • Mentor junior staff and lead technical training and professional development.
  • Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Stay updated on regulations and advise management on compliance risks and opportunities.

Additional Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of air quality regulations, permitting, and emissions management.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting, sustainability metrics, EMS, and ISO 14001 standards.
