Job Purpose

Lead the strategic development and management of commercial, logistics, and real estate initiatives, ensuring alignment with DACO’s business objectives, optimizing revenue generation, and enhancing passenger experience through innovative and sustainable projects.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Leadership:
  1. Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive strategies for entertainment, property, and real estate development that align with the airport’s vision, mission, and strategic goals, ensuring effective management and growth in these sectors.
  2. Integrate entertainment, property, and real estate development plans seamlessly into the overall commercial strategy, ensuring they support long-term growth objectives and operational excellence.
  3. Manage the development of short-term and long-term plans, including pricing strategies and revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the airport’s strategic objectives and market competitiveness.
  4. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of entertainment, property, and real estate development initiatives, driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Excellence:
  1. Oversee daily operations by managing team activities, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to policies for smooth departmental functioning.
  2. Implement process improvements by analyzing current practices, identifying inefficiencies, and applying best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  3. Monitor and evaluate financial performance by managing and tracking the divisional budget, ensuring alignment with DACO’s business plan and making necessary adjustments.
  4. Guide the development of real estate strategies aimed at optimizing commercial revenues through the safe and efficient development of airport lands.
  5. Lead the tendering process and form strategic partnerships with developers and investors, ensuring alignment with DACO’s strategic goals and maximizing commercial value.
  6. Ensure compliance with national regulations by monitoring and comparing price levels for all Cargo & Logistics activities, adjusting strategies to maintain competitive positioning.
  7. Enhance passenger experience by adapting strategic entertainment initiatives, establishing partnerships with leading entertainment companies, and analyzing market trends and customer preferences.
Stakeholder Management:
  1. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with GACA and SAVC, positioning DACO as a key partner in the development of special economic zones and the Airport Free Zone, ensuring mutual benefit and strategic alignment.
  2. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations) to integrate real estate and property development projects into broader airport operations, ensuring alignment and synergy.
  3. Engage with external partners such as developers and investors to secure strategic partnerships and optimize commercial value.
  4. Work closely with entertainment companies to enhance passenger experience and revenue through innovative entertainment offerings.
Team Leadership and Development:
  1. Set clear performance goals for team members, conducting regular reviews, and providing constructive feedback to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
  2. Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills in strategic initiatives within property and real estate development, fostering a highly skilled workforce.
Financial Management:
  1. Monitor and control the divisional budget by analyzing expenditures, identifying opportunities for revenue, and making necessary adjustments to optimize resource allocation.
  2. Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations to inform financial planning for property and real estate development activities.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  1. Drive continuous improvement by staying updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, integrating insights into departmental strategies.
  2. Explore and implement sustainable real estate opportunities that consider passenger demand, financial aspects, and existing infrastructure to ensure long-term viability and profitability.

Education

Bachelor’s degree: Business Administration or equivalent

Experience

Minimum 8 years of total experience in property development, real estate management, or a related field.
