Job description

Title: Enterprise Architect – Governance

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Duration: 1 year extendable (Long term under the payroll of Marc Ellis)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect – Governance to join a leading bank in Riyadh on a 1-year

extendable contract. The ideal candidate will bring over 12+ years of experience & 2-4 years of expertise

in enterprise architecture, governance frameworks, and compliance management. This individual will play

a pivotal role in aligning business strategies with technology initiatives, driving operational excellence, and

ensuring robust architecture governance across enterprise programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Enterprise Architecture Governance

frameworks, ensuring alignment with TOGAF standards.

• Oversee the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and facilitate effective governance of architectural

decisions, policies, and procedures.

• Drive compliance and risk management by integrating governance controls with regulatory and industry

standards (e.g., Basel III, ISO 31000, HIPAA, PCIDSS).

• Manage architecture repositories using tools such as Alfabet and LeanIX, ensuring data accuracy and

repository integrity.

• Develop and maintain strategic architecture roadmaps and ensure traceability from business strategies

to technical solutions.

• Provide guidance on architecture best practices, solution design reviews, and enforce architectural

compliance across the bank’s projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, product, and infrastructure units, to

drive enterprise-wide architectural alignment.

• Analyze and optimize the application portfolio for improved reliability, cost efficiency, and

performance.

• Automate and optimize architecture governance workflows to improve decision-making and reduce

overhead.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to innovation roadmaps and strategic planning

initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and

risk.

• Proven experience of atleast 2-4 years leading Enterprise Architecture Governance initiatives in large-

scale banking or financial institutions.

• Experience with architecture repositories and tools: Alfabet, LeanIX, ARIS, iServer, BiZZdesign is a

plus.

• Solid understanding of architecture frameworks: TOGAF (certification preferred), Archimate,

Zachman.

• Experience in setting up and leading Architecture Review Boards (ARBs).

• Demonstrated knowledge in Risk & Compliance frameworks including Basel III, ISO 31000, COSO,

AML, and others.

• Proven track record in strategic planning, technology road mapping, and enterprise-wide transformation

programs.

• Strong expertise in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, integration platforms (Mulesoft, Dell

Boomi), and governance tools.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications:

• TOGAF Certified

• Bachelors Degree is a must.
