Job description

Miraval The Red Sea, a luxurious wellness resort located on Shura Island, is part of the Red Sea Project. This transformative destination offers a unique opportunity to blend mindful living with exceptional hospitality. Featuring 180 guest rooms, suites, and villas across three million square feet of pristine beaches, we aim to redefine luxury and wellness in hospitality.

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to support the Engineering Manager in managing the engineering department. This role is critical in overseeing maintenance operations, supervising engineering staff, and ensuring the optimal performance of all mechanical and electrical systems throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, guide, and delegate responsibilities to engineering team members.
  • Ensure the engineering store is well-stocked, organized, and maintained.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate building and MEP works.
  • Liaise with external contractors and manage all maintenance contracts.
  • Maintain the building s interior and exterior, including furniture and fixtures.
  • Submit reports and documentation necessary for daily engineering operations.
  • Prepare duty and leave rosters for the engineering team.
  • Monitor and enforce staff break and meal periods in line with hotel regulations.
  • Lead initiatives in cost reduction, process improvement, and work simplification.
  • Direct and supervise contractors working within the hotel premises.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors on hotel projects.
  • Conduct training sessions and briefings for cross-exposure trainees.
  • Lead daily briefings with engineering staff and enforce core standards.
  • Perform routine inspections of kitchens, public areas, guest rooms, etc.
  • Conduct regular fire alarm tests and ensure fire safety systems are fully operational.
  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and guest concerns.
  • Record and report maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Assist with general maintenance duties and upkeep of tools and equipment.

Execute additional duties as assigned by Engineering leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering fields.
  • Minimum of 4 5 years of experience in the hotel industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and engineering systems.
  • Service-oriented with a commitment to Hyatt s hospitality standards.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts as required.
