Job Description for Specialist Engineer II ‐ Electrical

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for technical and procurement activities, including expediting, quality control surveillance, and handling equipment/material requisitions, calculations, and analysis from technical specifications to on-site delivery for standard equipment.

Technical oversight of equipment/material requisitions, calculations, analysis, and engineering deliverables for specific types of skid-mounted, modularized equipment, or similar with specialized applications.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNINGS

• B. Sc. Electrical Engineering Degree
• Minimum 5 years of total experience in oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas.
• Experience in design and project execution, with shop or site experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and knowledge of calculation methods.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as IEEE, ANSI, IEC, NFPA, UL, and Saudi Aramco standards including SA CMS.
• Attention to detail and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Basic, FEED, and Detail engineering processes.
• Familiarity with workflow development and inter-discipline dependencies.
• Experience with ETAP power system studies and 3D-model-centric projects.
• Lean Six Sigma training.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Timely and quality preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, calculation notes, reports, and engineering deliverables in coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensuring contractual specifications are met by external parties.
• Effective communication and technical follow-up with vendors.
• Adherence to project targets, including technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
• Proposing cost, schedule, and energy savings aligned with project goals.
• Reporting on engineering activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
• Meeting quality and HSE objectives.
• Collaborating with other discipline engineers and project support functions.
• Supporting junior engineers.
• Managing small requisitions or standard equipment as project manager, including technical, contractual, expediting, and inspection tasks.
• Contributing to department improvements and knowledge management initiatives.
• Participating in training and adhering to HSEQ directives.
• Performing various roles such as Field Engineer, Factory Inspector, Material Reception Supervisor, or Internal Auditor as needed.
