Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Safety Engineer located in Jubail.

Position Summary:

Capable of leading teams and providing solutions to complex technology problems. Responsible for designing major modifications in process units to improve safety and efficiencies. Engages in technical negotiations with external entities.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Leverage specialist knowledge and experience to benefit the department, sharing, coaching, and advising colleagues.
  • Work directly with engineering colleagues on complex EHSS problems to ensure efficient solutions.
  • Support the EHSS Safety Team and Department on regulations to attain compliance.
  • Provide authoritative technical expertise to resolve complex problems.
  • Monitor performance reports for trends and alert superiors if needed.
  • Investigate EHSS accidents and recommend preventive measures.
  • Monitor EHSS concerns and prioritize resolutions.
  • Identify EHSS hazards and establish safety guidelines.
  • Assist in developing awareness and training programs to raise EHSS awareness.
  • Make recommendations and implement policies and procedures for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to guarantee safety and legislative adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with EHSM, IMRS, and Responsible Care standards.
  • Ensure safety regulation compliance within TPC.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience, including at least 2 years as an HSE Specialist in a reputed Oil & Gas organization, with proven performance and achievements.
