Role Purpose

Ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and specifications by monitoring activities, inspecting work, and coordinating with project teams. Responsible for identifying issues, preventing defects, and supporting continuous improvement in construction quality.

Key Accountability Areas
Quality Control & Inspection
  • Regularly inspect ongoing construction work to make sure it meets project plans, safety codes, and industry standards.
  • Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment on site to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Identify quality issues, document non-compliance, and promptly inform the site team to address them.
  • Follow up to ensure corrective actions are properly carried out and documented.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and keep QA records organized and up to date.
  • Review and revise quality-related documents like method statements and inspection checklists to reflect current project requirements.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing documents for project handovers, ensuring all quality information is included.
Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on quality standards.
  • Attend site meetings to raise and discuss any quality issues or concerns with the team.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and testing labs to ensure all materials meet required quality standards.
Process Improvement
  • Suggest improvements to construction processes based on observations and experience to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Share lessons learned from previous projects with the team to prevent recurring issues.
Role Accountability
Essential Certifications
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems – Lead Auditor is mandatory.
  • ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health Safety Management Systems – Lead Auditor is preferred.
  • ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems – Lead Auditor is preferred.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – ASQ is preferred.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification is preferred.
  • Project Management Certifications is preferred.
Key Technical Skills
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO).
  • Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements preparation.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Processes.
