Job description
JOB CONTENT

Plan, direct, and monitor preventative and routine mould inspections and maintenance at the manufacturing plant to ensure operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and establish database for the all the moulds used in the production facility.
  • Prepare and implement the molds maintenance plans to ensure the smooth flow production.
  • Supervise mould technicians in execution of daily task; prepare daily/monthly work schedules; monitor the maintenance activities of the moulds and provide technical expertise to the technicians to ensure there is no loss of production.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance of the moulds while ensuring that all the mould maintenance processes are carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Risk analysis of whole shutdowns expected related to molds problem; review and analyse the breakdown of the moulds and take the corrective actions.
  • To monitor the mould life and action for mould duplication in case if mould life is over.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineer mould maintenance, production team members, and inspectors to ensure quality installation of moulds.
  • Oversee critical spare management of all Mould & maintain its inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams during designing, prototyping, and release of new moulds/products.
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed on priority, especially during mould changes and take necessary measures to avoid any calamities; identify potential hazards and suggest safety measures in coordination with the HSE team.
  • Follow company’s HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertaken.
  • Observe SOP being followed by personnel on shop floor and provide on job training to ensure strict compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority.
  • Ensure that all records and documents are up to date and have full traceability and retrieval at all times and that all processes, procedures & activities comply with ISO and management procedures.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration & co-ordination between relevant departments including planning, maintenance and production teams and work congruently to achieve the common objective of the department.
  • Actively monitors industry trends, equipment and process innovations, and emerging technologies and creates initiatives to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in trade shows and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

Manage the effective achievement of team objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing & training staff and providing formal and informal feedback in order to maximize overall performance and team motivation.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, FUNCTIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Education/ Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer Preferably Mechanical / Electrical or Diploma holder.

Experience

  • If Graduate Engineer, minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in organizing predictive and preventive mold maintenance
  • For Diploma holders, minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in organizing predictive and preventive mold maintenance

Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge

  • Knowledge of production process.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions for mechanical maintenance
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and inclusion abilities as well as sensitivity to diverse cultures.
