Job description

Work Location: KSA > Jubail

An exciting opportunity is available for Engineer I, Production – EC located in Jubail, KSA.

Job Purpose:

Capable of troubleshooting, process improvement or maintenance modifications, perform independently, generic process design on a specific technology. Liaise with external entities. Capable to lead small teams on minor projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains high HSE standards and seeks to ensure a healthy, safe work environment and working practices at all times.
  2. Validates standard internal and 3rd party process design work for conformance with established standards and procedures.
  3. Reviews and evaluates technical bid proposals for engineering work, evaluates and reports conclusions, noting bid deviations.
  4. Escalates emerging and complex plant issues to more senior engineers to ensure action is taken to resolve on a timely basis.
  5. Participates in projects; aligns tasks to project schedules/plans ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  6. Reviews and analyses relevant plant, process, and engineering data and recommends changes required to optimize operations.
  7. Provides guidance and support to help more junior team members.
  8. Carries out conventional engineering tasks requiring broad application of engineering knowledge, regulations, and standards.
  9. Develops a range of engineering plans and supporting documentation seeking guidance from senior level engineers as required.

Qualification and Requirements:

Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree (or similar) from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in operation or relevant fields, preferably in Ethylene Cracker plants.
