Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for an Engineer, Process located in Jubail.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Process Engineer is responsible for overall monitoring and enhancing various plant operations.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide plant operations with technical inputs and support, including preparing different Heat & Material balance scenarios.
  • Evaluate plant processes and proposed design changes, considering environmental and economic factors.
  • Work closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the plant is set up for maximum output and efficient operation.
  • Set up scale-up and scale-down processes, including appropriate modifications to equipment design and configuration.
  • Evaluate the design, installation, and commissioning of new projects, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting.
  • Perform process simulations and assess options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing simulation models.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, and develop process documentation, operating instructions, and best practices to improve production rates and quality.
  • Optimize production by analyzing processes, troubleshooting manufacturing problems, evaluating equipment and processes for safety and environmental compliance, and proposing improvements and new technologies.
  • Possess an engineering degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with petrochemical processes, especially Acrylates, Syn Gas, and Butanol processes.
