An exciting opportunity is available for a Fire Engineer located in Jubail.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain all plant firefighting equipment and systems in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Provide technical support to the fire team for inspection, testing, and emergency response.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, review, and implement firefighting policies and procedures according to Tasnee Fire Protection Standards, NFPA codes, and local legislations.
- Plan emergency responses as per fire emergency pre-plans.
- Review fire reports and determine required actions, providing feedback to concerned parties.
- Participate in fire risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC), and investigations.
- Coordinate with production departments to maintain fire precaution equipment.
- Support fire team during alarms and emergencies with technical assistance.
- Prepare reports on the status of fire precaution equipment.
- Communicate with Tasnee, JAMA’A, and other petrochemical industries regarding fire equipment issues and benchmarking.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for fire station facilities and equipment.
- Identify deficiencies in fire and gas systems and develop resolution plans.
- Analyze data, review reports, and develop action plans to improve fire safety performance.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM) compliance for fire equipment and trucks.
- Maintain inspection, testing, and maintenance records.
- Provide technical evaluations for contracts and projects related to fire safety.
- Review and approve fire project packages for HCIS approval.
- Ensure full compliance with IMRS16 standards.
- Create and maintain SAP entities for emergency response equipment.
- Deliver fire safety training as per the competency training plan.
- Cover Fire SI responsibilities during absence.
- Review and update fire safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Firefighter – Level II
- Hazmat certification
- Rescue certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or an equivalent degree
Minimum Experience:
- 3-5 years of industrial experience as a Fire Protection Engineer
