1) The primary responsibility of Field Services Support Engineers is to provide support to an organization's IT systems, ensuring all computers and networks operate efficiently with high uptime.

2) As a desktop engineer, you may need to assemble and install client desktop computers and assist end-users in securing their hardware.

3) This role involves hands-on support for various IT support teams, including activities related to maintenance, hardware, software, and network queries.

4) Support daily technical activities for computers and other endpoint devices, update support tickets, set up and test desktop peripherals.

5) Perform system changes following organizational policies.

6) Conduct remote troubleshooting for end-user issues and maintain technical documentation.

7) Technical Skills include:

  • Windows Operating System: Ability to install and troubleshoot different versions (XP, 7, 10, 11).
  • Understanding desktop applications, installation, and uninstallation.
  • Domain setup, adding/removing computers to domain, updating group policies, disk management, encryption, wireless configuration, and deploying gold images.
  • Ability to install and configure client applications independently.
