ENGINEER, ELECTRICAL - Fresh Graduate - West Region

Job Purpose

This position exists to plan, control, and monitor the execution of electrical project tasks efficiently, within the specified timelines and quality standards, adhering to defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational goals and development objectives.

Key Accountability Areas

1. Perform erection, testing, and commissioning of Power/Distribution transformers at site and factory.
2. Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing of power/distribution transformers.
3. Inspect transformers upon arrival and perform necessary tests.
4. Ensure the availability of all accessories for transformers.
5. Check impact recorders and collect data from them.
6. Assess the requirements of cranes or other equipment for the assembly or disassembly of transformers at sites/factory.
7. Perform routine electrical tests of transformers in factory and at site according to international standards.
8. Carry out low voltage electrical tests at the site.
9. Plan daily site activities for timely job completion.
10. Oversee the erection of transformer accessories, vacuuming, and oil filtration as per quality procedures.
11. Conduct in-process testing of transformers during repair/manufacturing stages.
12. Coordinate with marketing, planning, and customers for gate passes/work permits for job execution.
13. Ensure best practices are followed during testing of Power and Distribution transformers.

2. Delivery: Perform activities aligned with operational and development targets, utilize resources efficiently, and report deviations and progress periodically.

4. Quality: Ensure quality standards are met through effective control processes.

7. Health & Safety: Ensure safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed to guarantee safety and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
