International Deadline: June 16, 2025 – Diriyah Art Futures (DAF), the MENA region’s first New Media Arts hub, announces a call for applications for its second cycle of the Emerging New Media Artists programme, launching in October 2025.
The programme is a supported one-year initiative focused on theoretical engagement, creative production, and technical training for emerging artists in New Media and Digital Art. Developed with Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains, it provides access to advanced technology, production facilities, and mentorship from leading international artists and scholars.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to artists worldwide aged 35 or younger, at graduate or postgraduate level, with experience in New Media and Digital Art.
Participants will explore themes such as AI, virtual and augmented reality, sound, cinema, and digital archives, culminating in a final curated exhibition at DAF.

The first three months involve thematic and conceptual explorations led by artists and theorists through seminars, lectures, screenings, and workshops, covering topics like:
In the following six months, artists will receive personalized mentorship while producing artworks using Diriyah Art Futures labs' technologies, including immersive reality, coding, sensing, machine learning, and spatial audio-visual environments. The final artwork will be exhibited at Diriyah as a curated, juried outcome of the programme.
