3M is looking for a talented Saudi for the EMD Sales Engineer position. In this role, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Implementing the strategy and business model for C&I within the designated area to achieve business objectives and sales targets.
  • Proactively generating demand at end users through either direct calls or in cooperation with selected channel partners, visiting targeted electrical contractors/installers and EPC companies in focus market segments, building strong relationships with the largest engineering and construction firms.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of 3M cable accessory products and their applications to effectively communicate benefits to customers.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth in the Electrical Markets.
  • Strong collaboration with Channel, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams will be crucial to gain market share and increase share of wallet at main distributors of low and medium voltage solutions.
  • Executing medium voltage cable accessory local kitting strategy to enable broader and short lead-time for C&I offering through segment-relevant go-to portfolio and products for small, medium, and large capital projects.
  • Leveraging working relationships with key people in focus sub-segments at all levels, influencing those contacts to increase perception of our high-tech value solution proposals (i.e., Splices, SCA) - which aims to reduce total cost of ownership in order to increase share of wallet.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Saudi nationality is a must
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Proven professional experience in electrical product knowledge and in sales roles in the construction and MPE market

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen and sales attitude for high value-added solutions.
  • Balance short and long sales cycles through key account management.
  • Navigate complex customer organizations using communication and analytical skills.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn product tech contents and customer needs.
  • Proactive, autonomous, dynamic personality aiming to change the status quo.
  • Ability to respond rapidly and professionally in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities through market intelligence.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM would be an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
