Job description

Electronics Maintenance Simulator Technician II

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Maintenance Simulator Technician II to perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance activities on simulation equipment. The role involves repairing complex electronic equipment, replacing components, wiring circuits, and conducting tests using instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of simulator computer/operating systems and the ability to operate effectively in a computer-rich environment. A working knowledge of computer network architecture, familiarity with circuit interrelationships, and judgment in planning work sequences are essential.

Responsibilities include fabricating/modifying electrical/electronic devices, hardware, or software installations, communicating effectively with Site Management regarding maintenance activities, and making sound decisions regarding facility operations with minimal supervision. The technician will also assist with logistics, perform inventories, and work rotating shifts or weekends as required by government contracts.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as an Electronics Maintenance Simulator Technician II.
  2. Minimum four years of experience in simulator maintenance or equivalent.
  3. Graduation from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course or equivalent work experience, with substitutions possible with government approval.
  4. Preferred certifications include A+ and Security+ in Information Assurance.
  5. Ability to follow instructions, pass medical examinations for OCONUS deployment, and perform physical tasks such as lifting 75 pounds and climbing stairs.
  6. Must be a US citizen, able to obtain a US passport, hold a valid driver's license, and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
