Graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course
- Direct and/or perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance activities to simulation equipment.
- Performs maintenance tasks such as repairs of complex electronic equipment, replacing components and wiring circuits, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of simulator computer/operating systems and possess the abilities to competently and independently function/operate in a computer rich environment.
- Possesses a working knowledge of computer network architecture.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the interrelationship of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and test equipment.
- Fabricate/modify electrical/electronic devices and associated hardware or related software installations.
- Possess abilities to effectively communicate with Site Management regarding scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of device/trainer and advise of impacts to operational status.
- Ability to make sound/logical decisions regarding facility operations with minimal supervision in the absence of site management.
- Required to communicate/solicit effectively to site management on all aspects of trainer/simulator operations as it pertains to readiness/training device quality of systems/technician staffs' capabilities.
- Assist Site Manager/Shift Supervisor with all logistics functions. Perform MSP inventories as required.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and/or weekends as specified by Government Contract requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Site Management.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years as an Electronics Maintenance Simulator Technician II.
- Minimum four (4) years' experience as a simulator maintenance or equivalent.
- Graduate from a two (2) year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent. Work experience may be substituted for formal education. With Government concurrence, equivalent simulator maintenance experience and education may be substituted, provided it is comparable to trainer systems listed in the task order.
- Preferred Information Assurance (IA) certification of A+ and a Security + desired.
- Mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
- Ability to pass medical examination for OCONUS assignment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb 2 flights of stairs is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- The ability to cope with stressful situations.
- Ability to conform with foreign culture and work with foreign personnel (Saudi Arabia).
- Must always present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress.
- The applicant must be a US citizen, possess the ability to obtain a US passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
