Job Title: Electronic Technician

Department: Maintenance / Technical Services / Electronics

Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Technical Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Electronic Technician to support the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCB repairs, and industrial automation systems. This role plays a crucial part in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring optimal functioning of electronic systems across the facility.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain electronic systems and components such as circuit boards, sensors, control panels, and PLCs.


  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and longevity.


  • Diagnose and repair faults in electronic equipment using testing instruments and schematic diagrams.


  • Calibrate electronic instruments and replace defective components as needed.


  • Maintain documentation for repairs, installations, and inspections.


  • Support the engineering team during upgrades, modifications, or new installations.


  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and electronic repair protocols.


  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments for troubleshooting complex issues.


  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in electronic maintenance.


Essential Qualifications:
  • Diploma / ITI in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related field.


  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, industrial, or technical service environment.


Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits.


  • Experience in soldering and PCB component-level repairs.


  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.


  • Proficiency in using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.


  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and technical manuals.


  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.


  • Good communication and teamwork skills.


  • Basic understanding of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols.
