Job description

An Electromechanical MEP Engineer in a feed mill is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure efficient feed production.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing MEP systems for feed mill operations, including conveyors, motors, HVAC, and water supply.
  • Selecting appropriate electrical panels, motors, and automation systems for optimal performance.
  • Ensuring proper installation of mechanical and electrical equipment like crushers, mixers, and pelletizers.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, motor failures, PLC issues, and other mechanical breakdowns.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
  • Monitoring energy consumption and optimizing the use of power, water, and compressed air.
  • Implementing energy-saving measures in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ensuring that all MEP installations comply with local safety codes and industry standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for electrical panels, motors, and wiring.
  • Coordinating with production, maintenance, and procurement teams for spare parts and system upgrades.
  • Preparing technical reports, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.
  • Working with PLC, SCADA, and automation systems to improve feed mill efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting sensor, actuator, and control panel issues.

  • Electrical Systems: Motors, control panels, transformers, wiring, VFDs
  • Mechanical Systems: Gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, HVAC, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Plumbing Systems: Water supply, steam, compressed air, drainage
  • Automation & Control: PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, sensors & actuators
  • CAD Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks for MEP layout design

Applicants must have 3+ Years relevant experience in the feed mill industry to be considered for this role.
