Repair works on all electrical mistakes or harmed electrical components of hefty devices, buses, vehicles, road sweepers, backhoes, loaders, and other automotive trucks by performing the following duties:
Inspects and detects the reason for electric malfunction or failure of the vehicle or equipment and reviews the nature and level of damage or breakdown with the workshop electric foreman to establish the repairs needed.
Re-wires ignition systems, lights, and cockpit consoles. Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
Performs Pre-delivery Assessment (PDI) as required for new vehicles.
Executes preventative maintenance and service as per schedule.
Adheres to safety rules and procedures by applying safe working techniques.
Plans and records electric testing and repairs or initiates alteration or replacement of any equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Re-inspects all completed repairs to ensure quality before handing over the equipment.
Secures the assigned powered, manual, and diagnostic tools by following the implemented control procedures.
Installs air conditioning systems.
Overhauls air conditioning systems.
Contributes to the overall housekeeping of the workshop and maintains tools clean.
Performs any task that may be assigned by the workshop electric supervisor inside the company's workshop or at client sites.
Credentials:
Technical high school diploma or equivalent trade studies as a vehicle electrician.
Safety-oriented for performing electrical repair work.
Proficient in operating diagnostic tools.
Knowledgeable about the different types of electrical circuits of heavy machinery and equipment.
Fluency in English and/or Arabic.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a vehicle electrician at workshops for heavy machinery or equipment.
