Job description

The Electrician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of facility electrical equipment. This position performs installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and/or design modification of high-tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Repair, replace, and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, defective wiring, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace PLCs, servo and frequency drives, and related electronic hardware.
  • Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input/output boards, controllers’ servos, gears, sprockets, chains, knives, etc.) using test equipment.
  • Use blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
  • Properly use tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers, screwdrivers; splice wires; install conduit, panel boards, switch boxes, motors, drives, and other electrical equipment.
  • Stay informed of the latest electronic and electrical technology, testing or recommending new equipment as appropriate.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for packaging process systems to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Install change parts on production machinery, such as pockets, flap tuckers, and film folding shoulders.
  • Assist with the implementation of small to medium electrical and automation projects.
  • Maintain technical materials (manuals, MSDS, system drawings, PID's, schematics, blueprints) to troubleshoot and maintain systems; document activities per management procedures.
  • Provide technical training and support to production teams, fostering continuous learning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and equipment.
  • Use Nestlé computer systems for accurate product tracking as required.
  • Train colleagues on relevant job tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required, with 5 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency in electrical skills including PLC programming, electrical circuits, schematics, servo motors, and familiarity with 460/220 3-phase wiring.

Requirements
