Job summary

Une entreprise leader dans la gestion des systèmes de refroidissement recherche un technicien en entretien électrique pour assurer la maintenance et l'installation de systèmes électriques critiques. Le candidat idéal doit avoir un diplôme en ingénierie électrique et entre 1 à 3 ans d'expérience en maintenance électrique, avec la capacité de travailler à la fois de manière autonome et en équipe, et de respecter les normes de sécurité.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 ans d'expérience en maintenance électrique dans une usine.
  • Bonne maîtrise de l'anglais avec capacité à s'exprimer.
  • Connaissance des systèmes électriques et des équipements tels que moteurs, transformateurs et commutateurs.

Job description

Job Summary

The role holder is responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair activities, including the troubleshooting of electrical systems, conducting corrective and preventive maintenance, and assisting in the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.

Key Accountabilities

Electrical Maintenance

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with applicable safety and maintenance standards to always ensure availability of systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities on electrical systems, including testing, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure that the electrical equipment in the plant is operating properly according to established specifications in coordination with the operations team.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment in plants according to established schedule and maintenance cycle to avoid system/equipment issues.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment and tools to perform accurate measurements and assessments.
  • Highlight major maintenance requirements to the supervisor in order to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested / accepted timeframe.

Installation and Commissioning

  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications and assist in the installation to ensure proper installation and connection of equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Foreman and other technicians in planning and executing installation projects.
  • Verify and ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards during installation activities.
  • Calibrate electrical instruments and devices, such as meters, gauges, and controllers, to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technolgy/ Electrical Power

Minimum Experience:

  • 1– 3 years of experience in Plant Electrical Maintenance.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • High voltage substation testing and commissioning
  • Good level of understanding English and ability to express self.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge and expertise in electrical equipment testing including transformers, switchgears, motors, starters etc.
  • Experience in using and handling electrical test equipment (Freja, CPC 100, DLRO, motor winding analyzer etc)
  • Protection relay configuration and testing
