Job Description

Responsible for installing, wiring, and maintaining solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring efficient energy conversion and safe operation. Their role includes setting up solar panels, inverters, and electrical components, performing system testing and troubleshooting faults, conducting maintenance checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and grid regulations. They also handle documentation, reporting system performance, and collaborating with engineers for system upgrades, all while following industry standards for electrical safety and efficiency.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintenance Operations – Perform routine maintenance activities as per O&M manuals and supervisor instructions.
  • Safety & Compliance – Follow HSE procedures, including PTW-LOTO, and adhere to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Record-Keeping & Reporting – Document maintenance tasks, report deficiencies, and assist in audits.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Management – Track spare parts, maintain inventory, and manage warehouse transactions.
  • System Repairs & Troubleshooting – Repair inverters, combiner boxes, PV panels, and resolve communication issues.
  • Monitoring & Analysis – Conduct thermographic analysis and oversee SCADA system operations.
  • Training & Certification – Attend training sessions, obtain necessary certifications, and operate MV equipment after qualification.
  • Cleaning & Equipment Handling – Supervise cleaning operations, ensure proper tool usage, and follow safety protocols.
  • Report Preparation – Assist in report generation and documentation as per supervisor instructions.

Preferred Experience

  • Maintenance expertise in HV equipment and certification in HV operations.
  • Specialized knowledge in DC/AC PV inverter maintenance.
  • IT experience for system monitoring and automation.
  • 1+ years of experience in UPS, inverters, or PV technology.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation abilities for project collaboration.
  • LV cable repair and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Electric Safety Standards (OSHA) and risk mitigation.
