Responsibilities

• Manage and liaise with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical.
• Ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings, specifications, and details in coordination with all other disciplines.
• Ensure that the drawings submission schedule is efficient within the target schedule and of the best quality.
• Ensure the shop drawings comply with local authorities governing the discipline scope of work (KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health & Safety, and project standards).
• Ensure adherence to the relevant Company's policies and procedures.
• Ensure client, consultant, main contractor, and MEP project manager/CM satisfaction.
• Guide technical engineers/drafters through project phases and plan targets and team responsibilities.
• Review and approve Electrical shop drawings and design calculations before submission.
• Review and sign-off Electrical material technical submittals before issuance to consultant.
• Review and approve method statements in line with project specs and authorities.
• Coordinate with other technical departments for reviews/approvals.
• Support safety initiatives and incident reporting per IMS policies.

Job description

The Electrical Technical Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support for electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure across projects and operational activities. The role supports the design, review, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, operational requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

The position works closely with engineering teams, project management, construction, operations, vendors, and consultants to ensure efficient execution of electrical engineering activities, technical problem resolution, system reliability, and continuous improvement of electrical performance across the organization.

Job Responsibilities 1

Manage and liaise with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical

Ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings,specifications, details in coordination with all other disciplines.

Ensure that the drawings submission schedule efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality.

Ensure the shop drawings are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.

Ensure adherence to the relevant Company's policies and procedures.

Ensue the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.

Guide the technical engineers/draftsmen through the work activities Management process throughout the duration of the project engineering phase.

Assign specific targets to the corresponding work activities.

Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.

Review and approve Electrical shop drawings and design calculations before submission.

Review and sign-off Electrical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant.

Review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications, authorities, etc.

To liaise with other technical departments for the relevant reviews, approvals etc.

Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
