Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical and automation maintenance within heavy industry.
• Supervisory or shift coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and automation technicians in performing maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for motors, drives, PLCs, and automation systems.
• Authorize work permits, shift activities, and validate electrical/automation task completion.
• Audit test reports, maintenance logs, and equipment records to ensure compliance with standards.
• Liaise with production, mechanical, and utility teams to align maintenance with operational needs.
• Diagnose recurring faults in automation or electrical systems and escalate critical issues for resolution.
• Allocate manpower, tools, and test equipment to optimize maintenance efficiency.
• Report maintenance performance, system reliability, and improvement recommendations to the Department Head.

Skills

Knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs, and automation systems

Ability to lead and supervise technicians effectively

Competence in diagnosing and escalating electrical/automation faults

Familiarity with CMMS, testing tools, and electrical safety standards
