Job Title: Electrical Installation Manager

The Electrical Manager will oversee the installation of a 380 KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). He/she shall have extensive experience in high-voltage substation projects, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the substation site, during installation and commissioning.
  2. Technical Oversight: Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry/client standards.
  3. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the quality and reliability of installations. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  4. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict Linxon and client safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment. Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  5. Coordination: Collaborate with design engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of installation activities, test results, and project progress. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  7. Training and Supervision: Provide guidance and training to installation teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
  8. Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process, including testing and validation of all systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet performance criteria.

Experience, Education, and Skills Required:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Project Management Certification or PMP preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EHV 380 KV GIS substations projects, including civil construction.
  • Experience with major clients in KSA such as SEC, ARAMCO, and the Royal Commission.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation components, and industry standards.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, multimillion-SAR projects.
  • Possession of C1 or C2 permits is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in electrical installations.

This position requires working on-site at the substation location, with occasional travel to project meetings and stakeholder consultations. The role involves exposure to high-voltage equipment and requires strict adherence to safety protocols.
