Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Saudi Arabia seeks an Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with NEC/IEC codes and safety standards across construction projects. The role requires thorough inspections, plan reviews, and clear reporting to support regulatory conformity.

You will coordinate with project teams, identify non-compliances, and drive corrective actions, with travel to various project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification as an Electrical Inspector is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Inspector or similar role in construction, preferably buildings or villa projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and installations to verify compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Review and interpret electrical plans and drawings to assess regulatory conformity.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes and safety standards.
• Identify non-compliances and provide corrective recommendations.

• Maintain records of inspections, approvals and rejections for regulatory purposes.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers and project managers to resolve compliance issues.
• Participate in meetings and discussions on electrical inspections to ensure effective communication.
• Promote electrical safety protocols and conduct safety inspections to identify hazards.

Your role Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. Review and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and blueprints to assess compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Identify non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure conformity with regulations. Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and corrective measures taken. Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and rejections for future reference and regulatory purposes. Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address electrical compliance issues and provide technical guidance as needed. Participate in meetings and discussions related to electrical inspections, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues. Promote and uphold electrical safety protocols and practices in accordance with industry standards.
