Responsibilities
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. Review and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and blueprints to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Code Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Identify non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure conformity with regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and corrective measures taken. Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and rejections for future reference and regulatory purposes.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address electrical compliance issues and provide technical guidance as needed. Participate in meetings and discussions related to electrical inspections, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Safety Oversight: Promote and uphold electrical safety protocols and practices in accordance with industry standards. Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure proper implementation of safety measures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certification as an Electrical Inspector is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Inspector or similar role in the construction industry, particularly within the UAE or Gulf region.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites across the UAE.
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
