Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules.
• Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
• Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals, and expanding networks.
• Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
• Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
• Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
• Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
• Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
• Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
• Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
• Drafting accurate technical sheets for ordering appropriate machines and tools.
• Gathering data from relevant and reliable sources to assist the top-level management in making vital decisions related to electrical projects.
• Evaluating existing maintenance activities to make appropriate decisions for improving relevant processes.
• Coordinating with Electrical Contractors and Project Managers.
• Communicating with the top-level management about the potential need for new equipment by providing accurate assessments and reports.

Skills

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CDEGS grounding software, AcSELerator Quickset, Enervista, CYMCAP, SKM, LitePro, ETAP.
• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with internationally and locally approved codes related to the choice of material, quality control, and other technical facets.
• Good command of electrical engineering software to provide the best possible output.
• Decent knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
• Minimum graduate-level education in the field of Electrical Engineering with good academic grades.
