Job description

Role Purpose

Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of paper machine electrical systems by providing expert support in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and industrial automation. The role aims to minimize downtime while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot paper machine electrical systems to ensure continuous and safe operation.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimize machine downtime.
• Support, maintain, and optimize PLC, DCS, and VFD systems related to paper machine operations.
• Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment, including drives, motors, MCCs, and control panels.
• Read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation accurately.
• Ensure full compliance with electrical safety standards and plant safety regulations.
• Coordinate closely with production, maintenance teams, and OEMs as required to support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in paper machines or paper mill electrical systems.
• Proven hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within industrial environments.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of paper machine electrical equipment, including drives, motors, MCCs, and control panels.
• Good working knowledge of Valmet DNA and Siemens DCS systems.
• Solid experience with PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics accurately.
• High awareness of electrical safety standards and industrial best practices.
