Job Opportunity: Senior Electrical Engineer

This role is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and requires proven experience in system studies using ETAP & PSCAD software for Oil & Gas Projects within an engineering consultancy context.

Job Summary:

• Experience in detailed engineering, FEED engineering, and specialized roles within engineering/design departments. Expertise in ETAP & PSCAD software for Oil & Gas Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform power system studies using ETAP for detailed engineering projects.
• Conduct system analysis and insulation coordination studies using PSCAD.
• Perform various power system studies including transient stability, insulation coordination, grounding, protective relaying, arc flash safety, ferro-resonance, islanding, and load shedding.
• Review electrical engineering design deliverables such as load lists, single line diagrams, cable and equipment sizing, and schedules.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and conduct technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment.
• Prepare power system study reports adhering to Saudi Aramco standards.
• Interpret and implement IEEE, ANSI, and IEC standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Power System Studies Engineer, with proven expertise in ETAP & PSCAD for Oil & Gas Projects within an engineering consultancy.
• Proficiency in reviewing design calculations and drawings.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is advantageous.
• Ability to prepare purchase requisitions and evaluate technical bids for electrical equipment.
• Strong understanding of design and construction practices and procedures.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both oral and written.
