Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Power System Studies Engineer with over 5 years of proven experience in system studies using ETAP and PSCAD software, specifically for Oil & Gas projects within an engineering consultancy environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing detailed power system studies using ETAP software.
• Conducting system analysis and insulation coordination studies using PSCAD.
• Carrying out various power system studies such as:

1. Power System Study
2. Transient Stability Study
3. Insulation Coordination and Switching Analysis
4. System Grounding and Shielding Study
5. Protective Relaying Settings and Coordination Study
6. Arc Flash Safety Assessment
7. Ferro-resonance Study
8. Islanding and Load Shedding Study

Review electrical engineering design deliverables including load lists, SLDs, cable and equipment sizing, and schedules. Prepare purchase requisitions and conduct technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment. Generate reports for power system studies compliant with Saudi Aramco standards, and interpret and implement IEEE/ANSI and IEC standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Proficiency in reviewing design calculations and drawings.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is advantageous.
• Experience in preparing purchase requisitions and conducting technical bid evaluations.
• Strong understanding of design and construction practices and procedures.

Excellent proficiency in English, both oral and written.
