Job Description:

Urgently required for a leading Power Transformer & Switchgear Manufacturing, Project Management & Service Providing Company.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

1. Technical activities related to Electrical Design and Engineering of HV/MV/LV Power Control Room / Modular Substation / E-House / Prefabricated Substation using various software.
2. Yield a safe, quality & cost-effective design / product in a timely manner as per clients' requirements.
3. Study & comply with required standards & specifications.
4. Perform & prepare HV/MV/LV Substation Electrical & Instrumentation design calculations including lighting, grounding, shielding, battery & battery charge sizing, station service transformer sizing & relevant drawings/documents.
5. Prepare electrical layout drawings (General Equipment Arrangement, lighting, grounding, shielding, cable routing, etc.).
6. Perform interfacing, design review & validation of PSA, DCS, Fire Alarm, Communication, Data, and Telephone systems.
7. Prepare Bill of Material, documents, and drawings.
8. Select and evaluate related materials & components, e.g. lighting fixtures, panel boards, HV/MV/LV cables, MCTs, grounding busbars, shielding mast, surge arrestors, etc.
9. Perform technical evaluation for the quotations of electrical equipment/materials and placing the purchase order.
10. Provide technical support and product cost sheets to sales engineers.
11. Perform design & development of other products and drawings/documents as deemed necessary by the company.

Work Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in Electrical & Instrumentation Design/Engineering of HV/MV/LV Substations for the Utility or Oil & Gas Industry (e.g. National Grid, Saudi Electricity Company, Saudi Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, etc.). Proficient in using various design application software & AutoCAD / MicroStation. Proficient in English language.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of the requirements of various equipment/systems in the Substation like HVAC, Fire alarm, Fire Fighting, etc.
2. Good knowledge of International Technical Standards (ANSI, IEC, ASTM, NEMA, DIN, NFPA, SASO, etc.).

Education:

BS in Electrical / Electronics / Communications / Instrumentation / Mechatronics.
