Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant development of electrical systems within industrial service operations.

Key Accountabilities

1. Design, develop, and review electrical systems and layouts for industrial and facility projects.
2. Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable local and international safety codes and standards.
3. Conduct technical evaluations and risk assessments of electrical designs to identify potential hazards.
4. Integrate fire protection and safety systems into electrical designs as required.
5. Collaborate with project and safety teams to ensure FLS (Fire Life Safety) requirements are incorporated into electrical systems.
6. Apply PF (Personal Fall) safety considerations in electrical system designs, especially for maintenance access.
7. Support installation teams by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues on-site.
8. Perform design calculations, simulations, and validation tests to ensure system performance and safety.
9. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals.
10. Update designs based on technological advancements, regulatory changes, and operational feedback.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design.
• Solid understanding of PF technology and its integration in engineering operations, particularly for maintenance safety.
• Knowledge of Fire Fighting Engineering systems and their integration into electrical layouts.
• Experience with FLS (Fire Life Safety) requirements and ensuring compliance through design.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical and safety codes (e.g., NFPA, IEC, NEC).
• Strong skills in conducting technical risk assessments for electrical projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar.
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Safety standards certifications (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical safety) are a plus.
