Responsibilities

  1. Implement the EHS Policy and manage all responsibilities outlined in the EHS Management System.
  2. Conduct risk assessments, maintain an updated risk register, and ensure control measures are in place.
  3. Identify training needs, develop, and execute EHS training programs.
  4. Plan and support EHS operational expenditures and projects.
  5. Ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards.
  6. Collect, analyze, and report EHS data and KPIs timely.
  7. Monitor and improve plant EHS performance to meet targets.
  8. Investigate incidents and hazards, implement corrective actions.
  9. Implement and communicate EHS systems, promote awareness, and encourage participation.
  10. Manage internal and external EHS audits and corrective actions.
  11. Develop and test emergency response plans through drills.
  12. Oversee plant health services and ensure adequacy of facilities.
  13. Sponsor EHS initiatives and recognize contributions.
  14. Maintain fire safety systems and PPE distribution.
  15. Support management in EHS strategy and project compliance.
  16. Lead and develop EHS team members through coaching and performance management.
  17. Perform any additional duties aligned with the role.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 5 years management experience in EHS or related field.
  2. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  3. Ability to develop and sustain effective systems and processes.
  4. Self-motivated with business acumen.
  5. Technical auditing expertise.
  6. Excellent planning, project, and change management skills.
  7. Effective communicator and influencer.
  8. Knowledge of relevant EHS legislation.
  9. Recognized EHS qualification, NEBOSH IGC3 or higher preferred.
  10. Proficient in English and computer literacy.
  11. Engineering background is advantageous.
